I thought that I might start this thread up here in India as the racing season doesnt appear to have started yet.
With so many new members joining up I thought it might be nice if we all gave a brief description of where you are from, your interest in horses etc.
As for mine...I am from Sydney.
My horsey interest started on a place called Lorde Howe Island where my father worked as a dentist during holiday breaks. I used to hitch a ride around the Island with the local post girl and I was hooked on horses from then on.
I progressed through riding school and horse camps before getting my first horse at 16.
I gained an interest in dressage and eventually became a working pupil at a large dresage school in Dural, Sydney, where we broke in horses ( arabians, ponies, thoroughbreds etc) re-educated horses and competed in show and dressage events.
I was lucky enough also to gain work with a showjumper/ dressage lady in Dural where I spent time training my own horse and competing on him in dressage and showing some horses for a local Arabian Stud.I also did some riding for El Caballo Blanco, which was a Spanish Riding School/ Entertainment complex, and where I rode in the shows on my horse " Cubanas Windsong"
My racehorse experience started off in Randwick during weekends, and progressed to Rosehill where I was a stable hand and rode trackwork for several years.
I now am interested in the betting side if things and enjoy doing my form analysis. I spent the last racing season In Hong Kong. It was good to watch John Size take out the premiership.
