The trainer of Australia's new champ Northerly says he is confident of taking the horse to Dubai for the World Cup meeting in March.
Fred Kersley, the trainer, said the horse had come back well after a summer holiday and would be heading to Dubai as long as he performed well in a couple of upcoming races in Australia.

Godolphin's Sakhee is back and what a way to return! He ran last night in a Dhs 150,000 Conditions race for four year-olds plus over 2000m at Nad Al Sheba on the dirt and won by nine lengths to Atlantis Prince with Pentagonal a further four lengths behind in third spot.
In a massive boost to the Dubai Racing Club this was Sakhee's lead up race to the US$6,000,000 Group I Dubai World Cup, on March 23.
Sakhee was rated the world’s best racehorse, when given 133 on the 2001 International Classifications.
He won the Group I Juddmonte International Stakes at York, England before producing an stunning performance to win the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe by seven lengths. He then went to America and at his first run on dirt finished a close second to Tiznow in the Breeders’ Cup Classic at Belmont Park.
Godolphin's Saeed bin Suroor had a highly successful meeting with four winners, four seconds and a third. He trained the first and second in the MOONSHELL MILE last night when Imperial Gesture (USA)(Dettori) won by nine lengths to Seba (Jaimie Spencer) with E B's Sweep (USA) (Willie Supple) a further one and a quarter lengths away third.
Bin Suroor then went on to win a maiden with Mutawaged (USA) also ridden by Dettori and trained the trifecta in the the Dubai City of Gold (2400m) with Narrative (IRE) (Richard Hills), Grandera (IRE) (Frankie Dettori) and Celtic Silence (GB) (Jamie Spencer)

These Arabs (Bin Suroor and the like) seem to be doing very well in Dubai...

Doing well unless you were killed in a car crash...
Anyway, the Godolphins run a fabulous competition each year called the "Seven Stars". The idea is that you log on to their site godolphin.com
and you have to pick seven horses from their stable. As the year progresses, you are awarded points if your horse wins in all the big events like the Arc, Cox Plate etc etc.
The winner gets about 150,000 US dollars ( so its worth your while having a play) and the top ten winners all get to stay at that big swanky hotel and a free trip to Dubai for the World Cup meeting.
Its pretty popular now and Im sure that the next one ( I think it will start soon)will be the biggest yet.
I was lucky enough to have Sakhee in my stable last comp andit was fascinating to see him rise through the ranks.

What a fascinating competition! Too bad I know nothing about int'l racing. It seems there are quite a lot of people who are knowledgeable about int'l racing -- the points for the top contenders are quite close.

Might even have a go at this myself...I hear that some of those arab girls over there are hot to trot...I can just se meself lying back in that beaut hotel with a couple of masked seductresses doing that belly dancing jig that they do so well....perhaps Wan Cai Wendy could get a start over there as well...

WW is getting a bit long in the tooth and the Arabs wouldn't be too keen to have an old war-horse like her turning up. She's done more miles than a council bus!!!
Mind you, she's a great believer in sperm being good for your complexion. If that be true, she should look 16 again!! :p

Yes, I believe that to be true. I have a wonderful looking tummy ( no stretch marks at all from ex beer gut) which belies its age.
Someone ought to market the stuff.
Instructions on the jar of skin cream could be " handle carefully, dont swallow".

Baby, I always swallow. That's a big part of my appeal. And I love the World Cup in Dubai and will try to sneak in for a couple of weeks - can pick up some hefty petro-bucks from those randy tea-towel heads.

Perhaps Wenchy Wendy, you should stop swallowing and create your own skin cream empire? Just hang on to the stuff and then discretly retire to the bathroom afterwards to deposit your precious load ( you might need to borrow the Dubai World Cup itself if those men in robes are as randy as you describe)
All those horney babes out there are sure to go wild for the new products.
Im ringing Kerry right now to see if he wants to start investing. I was thinking last night during my massage for a great name for the new range...how about " The Body Shop"?
And to think that my old 1st grade teacher said I wouldnt amount to anything.....

But back to Dubai...I was there to see Cigar win the World Cup and what a night that was. Did Bill Clinton own a share in him?
