THE new connections of Mister Boots had plenty to celebrate after their horse won at Kranji last Sunday.
In just two runs under their black-and-white colours of Barbarians Stable, they have secured a free horse plus profit.
Mister Boots, who is trained by Malcolm Thwaites, has amassed $28,262 from the two efforts - $20,825 for his win and $7,437 for his second placing on Sept 15.
And how much did he cost at last month's sale organised by the Association of Racehorse Trainers (Singapore)? Just $25,000. A bargain buy, indeed.

GO, DIN, GO. Friends and supporters have been cheering Australian-trained jockey Din Azis.
An emotional Din nearly cried after bagging his first winner on home soil astride the Charles Read-trained Lead To Victory.
The 30-year-old, who rode 140 winners in his six years in Australia, said it was a big relief to break the duck.
And last Saturday's win certainly boosted his morale as he followed up with the Douglas Dragon-trained long shot Golden Champagne 24 hours later.
From the looks of things, we should be hearing more of the lanky rider from now on. - NP
