The betfair market seems to have been suspended for the last 48 hours or so - they tend to suspend before barrier draw etc but I suspect it's another glitch that's slipped through the cracks at Betfair and someone just forgot to "unsuspend" the market. Have sent them an email asking them to unsuspend the market if possible.
So far a pitiful 628 quid matched.

Following the draw the ante post market was closed. This should have been replaced by a 'day of the race' market, this market has yet to appear on site and I am attempting to find out the reason for this from our horse racing desk. I will contact you again once I have a full explanation and will hope to have a market on site and open for trading as quickly as possible.

Further to my earlier email, the Japan Cup day of the race market should be on site within the next hour. The market will be no runner no bet,
Currently the Betfair Helpdesk doesn't operate 24 hours which I think is a bit poor - it's a global operation - so if something goes wrong with e.g. their cricket market with The Ashes tests on in Australia, it won't get fixed until the Help Desk get to work in the morning.

18k matched ! i guess the eurpoeans (english) dont have much of a clue about the japanese horses so no real interest in the race
