Champion Japanese jockey Yutaka Take has fractured his pelvis in a fall at Nakayama race course yesterday and will not be seen at the Dubai World Cup meeting on March 23. The fall involved three riders and their horses and Take riding Kid's World was easily the worst of the fallen brigade.
Take will be out for between three and six months but is hopeful of a return in the coming summer in France.
The extremely competent rider has only recently notched up his 10,000th race ride. He's been Japan's champion jockey a record 10 times and at the Hong Kong International meeting last December rode STAY GOLD to win the Hong Kong Vase.
