Japanese Results Data

Looking to find a reliable source that provides all Japanese races for my international database.
Can anyone refer me to a data provider?

There is nothing in English that would meet your requirements and it is not financially worth while for orgs. to translate unless they are targeting specific fields like breeders.
I have spent a while trying to ascertain which stuff is important and which is not and and my Japanese is so so.

But the main ones that will interest you are the Japan ones.
The best one is Japan Association for International Horse Racing. I have known about this one for ages but they have only just started supplying full JRA results (last 16 days) for each race at each JRA meeting. This site is in English and Japanese (you choose what language you want it in). All results are in English including names of the horses and jockeys. Address is www.jair.jrao.ne.jp (http://www.jair.jrao.ne.jp) The site also has stories and news plus info on the tracks, how to bet etc. (It currently has the horse of the year awards - your horse Agnes Digital got older horse of the year - apparently he is a bloke - I always thought it was a mare due to Agnes). American jockey Kent Desormeaux (hope I spelt that right) got the jockey award for best strike rate. I did not know he rode in Japan.
The best Japanese language site is the JRA site. www.jra.go.jp (http://www.jra.go.jp) Where it says Quick Access hit the first button and you go to Entries for next weekend. Hit the second button for results. All In Japanese but you can tell what is going on. There is a link to JAIR from this site. This site also has some vision of races etc.
For a complete list of links to Japanese sites go to www.racetracks.com/JapanHR.htm (http://www.racetracks.com/JapanHR.htm) It will give you about 50 sites. Most are in Japanese so might not be much use to you. Ryuuou's Home Page is in English though and you can send him emails in English."
I think the NYRA has some sort of d/base for japanese racing but from memory it was inadequate somehow or other.

Hobbes, it sounds to me like an email from seabiscuit...I may have posted it from your computer ( likely as I didnt put spaces between the paragraphs) or I may have passed the email on to you. ;)
