MJC Director of Racing & Chief Stipendiary Steward Mr Ian Paterson representing the Macau Jockey Club at the 36th International Conference of Horse Racing Authorities held in Paris returned to Macau yesterday (9 Oct), and brought with him exciting news for the Club. The Macau Jockey Club's application to upgrade the Macau Derby, Macau Gold Cup and Directors' Cup from part III to part II of the International Cataloguing Standards blue book has been officially approved by the International Cataloguing Standards Committee during the Conference. Formed in 1981, the International Cataloguing Standards Committee is made up of representatives of the racing authorities, breeders' organizations and international auction houses of four major racing and breeding countries, viz England, France, Ireland and the United States
