The high-priced Aussie import King Of Danes, once hailed as our new sprint sensation, was today officially retired.
Battled a stomach ulcer and a few other problems this season and was well below his best.

Bad news. He was great to watch in full flight. On a brighter note does anyone remember Magnifier ?? he came from Q'Land and ran second to Fairy King Prawn on debut last season. I've seen snippets of him recently, perhaps he's not far from a comeback.

Magnifier - was a good horse in Aus. And yes his first-up run here was good. But bowed a tendon - now has a new trainer (Cruz to Kan?) Will be interesting to see if he makes a good comeback.
