IMPORTANT PRESS CONFERENCE

You are cordially invited to the Press Conference, in regards to the setting up of independent betting pools on Hong Kong races in Macau, to be held at 4:30pm today (August 30), at the Derby Room, 2/F Racing Complex of Taipa Racecourse. The Press Conference will be chaired by MJC Chairman, Dr Stanley Ho.

The press conference dealt with the fact that Macau has withdrawn its request to the Macau government to bet on HK races.
Stanley Ho stated that the HKJC has agreed to have a meeting with the MJC to find a solution to their problems and to commence a better relationship between the two clubs.
It appears that the appointment of Ronald Arculli as Chairman of Stewards in HK has allowed the discussions to commence so quickly.
