We're all tipping Eishin Preston for the big one.
Might invest a few dollars there. Looks a day of short odds and probably keep most of the pension fund for Wednesday night.

Jackie Chan and his bodyguards were out at the stables today and told us to bet up on his Floral Dynamite tomorrow.
Cost a lot of money, but JC's got plenty.
Might be a good horse but my friend is the mafoo of Planet Ruler and he assures me this is the one to bet on.
The pension fund goes on Wyndham Easy in the first.

Did you see Packing Angel today?
Jockey rode it like he was pissed off they didn't scratch it at the start. Gave it absolutely no hope and the stewards should have had him in.
If you backed this horse today, you did your money cold. Be on next time.

what golf game ?? but congrats on the $16 shot HH especially with a jock with zero wins for the season on board ( is he a friend of yours ?? ).

There are one or two people out there that owe me a golf game! ( I thought that Masun may have been one of them...and golf is much more fun than a shoe shine)
No the kid wasnt a friend of mine but he is now. His trip to Aussie seems to have worked, and he tested out his bush riding tactics well last night, showing the other jocks a thing or two about riding on the rails. He sits on alright.
But Lai came down the straight neck and neck with champion jockey Whyte, prevailing in the slogging finish when he put the whip away on Bravo Victory. "Mr Moore told me to keep myself and the horse balanced and in the straight that I should only go for the whip when I felt that my horse was travelling well and only to give him one or two hits.
"But the starter, Philip Waldron, has been helping me with my riding and it was something he said which probably helped me win the race," Lai explained. "He said in a photo finish that I should put the whip away and push the horse's head out, because that way you get the nose coming down at the right time. That's what I did and he only won by a nose."
Lai caught the attention while he was in Australia with trainer Phil McLeod at Grafton and plans have already been made for him to return there during the summer break. "Mr McLeod is a great boss and helped me tremendously, and I think there are a couple of horses I can ride during the big racing there in July," Lai said.
He has already been booked for a mount in the prestigious Group Three Grafton Cup. "I owe a lot of thanks to Mr McLeod and of course to my boss here in Hong Kong, Mr Millard. Everyone tries to help me a lot and I am very grateful."

Definitely not me! I've played golf only once in my life and that was one time too many!
The duel between Tweet and Bravo Victory was a classic Goliath vs. David battle: the former a favourite and the latter a 50/1 shot; one ridden by the top ranked jockey and the other the bottom ranked apprentice. No doubt the close finish will be remembered for a long time to come.
