Heard the Jockey Club tonight suspended trainer Alex Wong Yu On's assistant for giving out tips? The guy is former jockey K L Tsui. Sounds like he might have just tipped himself out of a chance to be a trainer some day.

Read the news on JC's website as well. Wonder how good Tsui's tips is. I don't know the details but remember reading in the papers at the beginning of the season that one of Allan's assistant trainers had disappeared. So even an AT's tips may not be all the reliable.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club have suspended assistant trainer Raymond K L Tsui until July 1 for 'improper practise'
Tsui was charged with a breach of Rule 151(6)in which he as a licensed assistant trainer, had over recent months provided information regarding horses from the stable of Alex Wong, the stable to which he is allocated and from other stables to a member of the Club in return for monetary considerations. Tsui pleaded guilty to the charge which was preferred against him.
When deliberating over the sentence the racing stewards took into consideration the guilty plea.
The stewards advised that it is obviously not mandatory to reduce the penalty imposed simply because a guilty plea is submitted, but it is a discretion Racing Stewards in Hong Kong would like to exercise whenever possible. A plea of guilty should be looked upon as evidence of contrition and there was clearly regret of Mr Tsui in this case. His licence as an assistant trainer was suspended with immediate effect until 1 July 2002.

Between the jockeys, trainers and mafoos there are bloody tips flying around everywhere out at Sha Tin.
And the little Chinamen, like the bloke who got pinched, they just love tipping. They'd tip Jesus off the cross.....
