My first post...How many of you left Dragon Win out of your QP selections , after MR's negative pp ? I unfortunately did (with Latte as my banker) . Luckily I had RV in . Best to turn off the audio 15min before the race starts !

Thats a bit tough, MR knows what hes looking at. But i do think hes lost the edge he had when he first arrived. Maybe too many nights out in wan chai with wendy ??? Or maybe hes just trying to blend in with the quality insights we get from Raphael.

Does the horses coat affect its performance?

I thought it came down to fitness and form.

Stuffed if I know. But it depends what sort of coat I guess. When I run in a really heavy coat I get tired more quickly.

Talking about Ralphael, he's tipped Jade Ruyi at 25's and Highlight at 50's in the last month. He should quit while he's ahead.

I did lay a horse on Betfair after listening to Mr. Unfortunatly it was the winner Palett Natural ( though it did just get up in time) and it cost me.

However, to Mr's credit, he did give a bit of a wrap to the 60 -1 shot that won, Latte ( no I didnt back it!) and I remember him going in hard for a 100-1 bolter one day last season. It managed a close second ( Raphael was going Oh Nooooo) .....:p

Gee you guys are a tough crowd. MR is the only commentator - I'm prepared to say in the entire world - to have tiped a 300-1 winner...Winning Associates...and on the subject of currency, just two weeks ago gave a huge wrap to San Lorenzo, beaten a nose at over 100-1. Did you really want a heavy legup for the EVEN MONEY WINNER on Wednesday? Surely the price was enough to make you look somewhere else anyway?

Yeah you all expect a bit much. Do your own form and don't worry about leaning on those dopes. Remember, if they were so clever, they wouldn't be working for wages and broadcasting their information to the public. Even the most successful "tipsters" in the media struggle to average a better strike rate over a season than the winning favourite score. MR, like most of them, will get his share of winners and his share of fuck-ups. But he is better than most of the HK brigade. You should hear some of the crap the "locals" go on with. As for applauding Raphael on a couple of roughies he found - trust me, you'd be long broke if you had followed his tips from day 1. Every mug will flop onto a longshot winner now and then if you keep having a stab.

And Raphael's usual advice is to box the 3 favourites in a tierce! The shorter the better!
